Why fans have overwhelmingly accepted it

The paper alternative, which required you to own a working printer and keep track of a physical object for weeks or months, starts to look like the harder option.

It isn't a perfect solution, transfer policies vary by venue and platform, and some legitimate resale is still permitted through controlled channels. But the days of buying a ticket from a stranger outside the gates and hoping for the best are largely gone.
